Quality in SIDPEC
According to SIDPEC Policy, Our main concerns are the customers and continual improvement. Hence; SIDPEC people are actively working not only to fulfill customer satisfaction but to exceed customer expectations.
On the other hand, continual improvement in SIDPEC entered a new area since 2010 when Quality General Manager decided to implement the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Methodology as a new approach for Quality Improvement in all company sectors. Now SIDPEC has one LSS Black Belt , certified from IQF and Quality America, and many LSS Green Belt. Effective Lean Six Sigma Deployment can be considered as one of SIDPEC main objectives.
SIDPEC Quality Assurance Staff in corporation with the Internal Audit Team members from different company sectors provide a trusted voice to senior management that things are being done properly in the organization.
SIDPEC Experience in Quality Improvement is planned to be successfully transferred to all SIDPEC people and to other candidates from other companies in Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals sectors through well-prepared and high quality training programs provided by Quality General Management.

Laboratory in sidpec
SIDPEC has successfully accomplished the transition to the ISO 9001:20 Ethylene & Research, Utilities and Environmental Laboratories:
Different laboratories sections to quality control all production processes. The laboratories apply standard test methods and most advanced equipment to achieve high accuracy and precision e.g. (UV, FTIR, ICPS, IC, GC…etc.).
Responsibilities:
– Analysis of ethylene, LPG and steam in all production stages.
– Analysis of water starting from raw water and different purification stages as pH, Cond., Turb., SO4, PO4, Fe, Silica, etc.
– Environmental analysis to assess the effectiveness of waste water treatment unit and flow gas analysis of boilers stacks and crackers stacks to comply with Egyptian environmental law No.4 for 1994. Analysis includes Heavy metals, COD, BOD, Oil, CO, NOx, SOx, etc.
Our laboratory periodically participates in proficiency test programs to assure the quality of test and calibration results.
The lab has been accredited by Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) in compliance with the requirement of ISO /IEC 17025:2005, in the field of some chemical testing of water.

Polyethylene & Research Laboratories:
Polyethylene laboratories and research sector is one of the most advanced petrochemicals laboratories in Egypt. The lab staffs have been trained by specialists in the field. Continuous training raises staff experience and makes them pioneers in performing their tasks.
Responsibilities:
The main task of polyethylene laboratories is to quality control the industrial processes using the most advanced analysis techniques and equipment for all processes including:
– Raw materials (Hexane, chemicals reagents & Butene-1).
– Ziegler Catalyst Preparation.
– Cr-Catalyst Activation.
– Pre polymer Preparation.
– Polymerization.
– Additives and Pelletizing.
– Bagging. Equipment and test methods comply with quality standards and safety requirements.
The fruitful cooperation of SIDPEC various departments aims to improve the properties of the final product and to maintain the required level of quality to ensure continued competition in the market.Moreover, Polyethylene laboratories cooperate with academic institutes to improve scientific research in the field of polymers. The lab has been accredited by Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) in compliance with the requirement of ISO /IEC 17025:2005, in the field of some physical tests for Resins.15 certificate renewal as the first company of petrochemical sector that achieves this transition in a record time with its well qualified team and the power of commitment of the top management.

Over more than 20 years and under the supervision of The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources SIDPEC has cared to actively contribute social improvement as an essential part of the company’s policy. Therefore, in order to further our good relations with neighboring residents of El-Nahda district in Alexandria city SIDPEC has been taking part in major and various social health and educational improvement projects for those who are in need.
Our company is proudly the first in Alexandria to extend a helping hand to the people of El-Nahda, with a promise to keep on supporting the people as it`s our obligation towards our society and country.
